This Ford GT Mk IV was one of the models I built during the time Terry and I were builders together...

Hey Kent I read your comments on Terry Hawkins. He lived nearby. Terry and I took shop together at Madison Junior High. We both designed/built car models for a General Motors? design institution (I can't remember the name). I still have mine!

Terry was my best friend... school, work, and play.  Cars, model building, you name it, we were constantly together. He was an academic wiz and helped me. His step dad Walt ran an insulation company, and Terry and I worked side by side insulating houses, so learned the meaning of hard work together. As a military brat, we of course moved... unfortunately the August before the class of 70 senior year.... so I lost my Cooper graduation date, but still have my ring... and got to be a stranger at a new school in Belleville Illinois...  a Senior "new kid." It was a tough year, but Terry and I stayed in touch, and did across the years. I can't quite put into words the idea that Terry is gone... heart breaking despite the time and distance that has separated us all... the great good memories of my best friend endure, as does the love of a dear friend...

Picture of me (hand up on the side of the aircraft) and flight and ground crew right before 50ft 100knot combat delivery of Iraqi Air Force UH-1H aircraft. My company overhauled, modified, and supports the IqAF fleet. This was in Jan 2005, the day before the first national elections there! Lots of shooting going on! But... we all made it!

To celebrate my 60th birthday I participated in the Special Ops Forces Wounded Warrior 5k run. I was the only person to do it in full combat gear. The Commander of Air Force Special Operation Command allowed me the honor of carrying AFSOC KIA list. I did 6 kilometers with 60 pounds of gear in 60 minutes. An honor to represent the Command's killed and wounded. Pretty good for old warrior!
