Mary Margaret Dennis Cannon (MiMi) beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece and friend joined her Lord and Savior in heaven November 23rd in Beaumont, Texas.

A visitation with the family will be held at 1:00PM Sunday November 27th, at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St with a service following at 2:00PM in the chapel. A graveside service will be held at Buffalo Gap Cemetery. A memorial service is pending at Calder Baptist Church, Beaumont, Texas.

Born July 5, 1952 to Patsy and Rogers Dennis in Jacksboro, Texas, Mary grew up in Abilene, attending Crockett Elementary, Jefferson Jr. High, Cooper High School, and graduated from Texas Tech.

Mary and Lynn Cannon married September 5, 1976 and after a couple of career moves, made their home in Beaumont where Mary had successful careers, first, with New York Life Insurance Company and later as a family counselor. Listening from the heart, Mary made a difference in many young people’s lives, especially her daughter’s friends. She lived her life as a loving, generous spirit, with a quirky sense of humor and a strong sense of fairness and justice.

Mary enjoyed reading/studying, singing, sewing, relaxing in her hammock surrounded by her trees, and most of all cherished her family.

Predeceased by her mother Patsy Dennis, Mary is survived by her husband, Lynn and daughter Kim and husband, Michael Villegas and their two daughters, Gabriella Grace (Gabby) and Lyana Estelle (Ellie). Survivors include her father, Rogers Dennis, brother, Roger Dennis, sister, Robin Dennis, sister and husband, Sherry and Rodney Weeks, niece Katie Moore-Weeks, sister and husband, Kate and Glenn Freeman and nephew Dennis Adams. Mary is also survived by aunts and uncles, Max Lasovick and Jim Lail, Ruth and Henry Glaze, Carlene and Jim Dennis and Libby and Jerre Ledbetter and many wonderful cousins. Her BFFs include Dixie McLeod, Katie Chenowith, Alecia Daleo, Jo Fuller, Deidra Coody, Diane Popkin, Paula Meyers, Cathy Gillit, Marilyn Pearce and her sisters-in-law Jane Corley and Kathy Boraski all of whom gave from their hearts in prayer and care.

We wish to thank all who loved, prayed, and supported Mary and her family through her walk with brain cancer and the doctors, nurses and staff of M.D. Anderson and Harbor Hospice House for their care and kindness.

Memorials may be made to M. D. Anderson or your favorite charity. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.pbfuneraldirectors.com.
