John Clark

I want to express my gratitude to the 50+2 Reunion Committee for creating a perfect weekend. The facilities were perfect, the events were fun. Everything was flawless for the attendees.
We had ample time to visit and renew friendships, and it was so much fun to reconnect. Jay Moore's Abilene history presentation stirred tons of fun memories, and as Jay always does, it was filled with unique humor tailored to the audience.
Mike Horton's tribute to our classmates who have passed away was a fabulous tribute. Thank you Mike. Our prayers are with you and Pam.
I know this event was the result of over 3 years of work by the committee. Everyone should raise a toast of gratitude to the committee.
If you didn't attend, you were missed and you missed out.

Hated to miss what was a great event.... and echo the thanks to all who put so much effort into making it happen... refusing to give up, and succeeding!  Well done and thanks! Even though the AF forced my move right before my senior year, this organization welcomed me, and Cooper remains a highlight in my life's journey and will so remain. thank you all.

Thank you, John, Kent, and Marilyn for those kind comments about the reunion and for our reunion committee!  We are indeed grateful that it came together this year, that all who attended seemed to be so glad to be here and reunited, and I only wish I had had more time to visit at length with each person in attendance.  Thanks to all who came, who care for one another from those good old days, and please, everyone, TAKE CARE of yourselves and stay in touch!!  Susan Livingston McKeever

To the Class Reunion Committee:

What a wonderful event! The effort you all put in the gatherings was obivious! Everything was so well organized, it was one of the most enjoyable and best gatherings I have ever attended. To have a chance to visit with former class mates and their signifant others in venues designed for that purpose was agreat idea. I am not sure if there will be any future reunions, I can only hope that you guys are in charge again. My sincere thanks.

I would like to echo the comments of my fellow classmates' various expressions of appreciation to the Reunion Committe for their dedication and hard work in planning and executing the Reunion + 2 Event. It was an enjoyable and memorable experience for all.

Thank you so much for ALL you did in producing such a wonderful Event.

Your friend and fellow classmate, Ed(die) Elmore

Great reunion.  Kudos to committee for planning for all to have much "catch-up" time.  I drove from Tampa, and I was disappointed that so many locals and/or spouses chose to not attend.  It's been 52 years people, and you couldn't take one day for old friends?  "This too shall pass" so make time for what really matters-people!  Especially thankful to Brenda, Diana, Chester, and all who helped me remember a great time in my life.

This was the best reunion ever!  As John said - perfect in every way. Thank you, thank you, thank you Committee for your perseverance and attention to every detail, and to Mike Horton for your moving tribute to those who have passed on before us.

I would like to echo what several have said before, but I thought the Reunion was fantastic and I throughly enjoyed seeing everyone!  Thanks to the Reunion Committe for their hard work in planning and executing the Reunion + 2!  Those that missed the Reunion should make a promise to themselves, that they will do whatever they can to be at the next reunion.

All the Best, Terry Springer

As class reunions go, I feel certain that this one exceeded all expectations. What a marvelous gift you gave us all, being in the presence of so many who contributed to our lives. I have never experienced so much love and warmth among people as that which I experienced during the reunion. God bless the committee for all the hard work. We are all indebted. Thanks from the bottom of my heart, guys.

Thank you for your service - Lynn Ingram, Susan Livingston McKeever, Janet Cox Ardoyno, Jean Jensen Eckert, Patty Crockett Esposito, Kathy Shackelford, Patty Reed Knight.....  if I forgot anyone, someone correct me.... and I so appreciate Mike Horton for his work on the extraordinary Memorial Video...

I don't think anything related to our reunion weekend could have been better.  Thank you to all our wonderful classmates for organizing a spectacular reunion.....three times!  What a joy catching up with childhood friends! A heartfelt thank you to Mike Horton for the touching tribute video to classmates no longer with us....  Prayers for you and your family .  Thank you to Eddie Elmore for organizing the lovely Sunday morning worship gathering. Ricky Evans, Robert Kirk and Lynn Moore were inspiring, and I hope we continue this tradition.  I'm looking forward to our next cougar get together .

To my great disappointment, I was not able to attend the reunion after anticipating it for more than two years, but the scheduling conflict was beyond my control. After reading these comments, I am exponentially sorry I missed it. If any of you took pictures, those of us who weren't there would appreciate it if you would post them. Also, is it possible to post Mike's memorial video? Mike, I have been and will continue to pray for you and Pam. Maybe it's an old age thing, but many of you have been on my mind a lot lately, and I would like to have seen you. Maybe someday.

After reading all the comments I am so glad everything turned out so well.  Kim and I were so excited excited about coming and then things happen that kept us from attending.  Hopefully we will be able to attend another if there is one.  Kudos to all who put it together

I totally agree with the others who couldn't attend the reunion.  I'll be sad forever that I couldn't make it, but love to all who were there and to those who, like me, had to miss it.  To thee, CHS...

I too want to express my appreciation to the reunion committee for a job extremely well done.  All the work done provided for a wonderful time for all who attended.  For those who couldn't or didn't attend you certainly missed an enjoyable time.  The opportunity to see and catch up with classmates and old friends was better than I could have imagined.  Thank you again for all the hard work and long hours given to the success of the events.  May God continue to bless your lives.

I loved the reunion so much. Seeing so many who were so special to me when we were in high school was such a gift. And having the chance to talk with others who I didn't know as well was also special. We all shared the same school and time. And it is just amazing to know that was 50 + 2 years ago (and then some). Thanks to all of you who kept this going through the pandemic until we finally made it. It was really a wonderful time and I am so grateful.

I'm a little late with my comments, but what a great time...and my wife and I only made the Friday evening event. Seeing everyone again after all this time was one of the great joys of my life. Thanks to everyone who had a part planning and emplenting. It was superb!

Many many thanks to you, the Reunion Committee, for organizing and executing such an amazing reunion! What a fun event and definitely worth the wait!  As the microphone was passed around the room and I heard my classmates' names, it struck me how fortunate we all were to have grown up in Abilene, Texas, during that period of time, with such quality and accomplished individuals. Our history together is long. Our feelings of deep friendship strong. I'll never forget that night. Much love and God bless each of you.  Alice Rutledge (Burns)

Cheers and congratulations to the Cooper host committee for an outstanding 50+2 Reunion! Everything was so well organized and you pulled off an excellent set of venues and events! It was a treat to see friends from elementary school through high school. It's amazing to realize the impact on our lives for the few years we were together. Thank you to everyone who attended! This Reunion was definitely a milestone in our lives!!

It was wonderful to see you all again after sooooooo long. I had a great time catching up with old friends and acquaintances. My only regret is that Bill Core couldn't be there. It is because of him that I was able to join this site and ultimately attend the reunion. My heartfelt thanks to the entire class of 1970. See you guys in another 50 years!!!
