Hello to all fellow graduates of the 1970 C.H.S. Reunion. I thought I would fill everyone in on how Pam is doing. We won't be able to attend this Great Reunion for 2 reasons. 1. Our kids and step daughter already booked a Concert at Red Rocks for exactly the same time as the Reunion so there is no one to feed the animals on the farm. 2. As many of you know Pam has been fighting Stage 4 Breast Cancer since 2017 and although the Cancer again is shrinking rapidly, she underwent Radiation on her brain about 2 months ago and it apparently caused a series of Mini Strokes which has taken her voice, given her Drop Foot, and now she cannot stand or walk. She is in a wheelchair and is starting Physical Therapy with UT Health and will be begiinning a brand new "Game Changing "Infusion (Enherto) which will finish the cancer off and manage it for the rest of her life. She is getting treatments from both UT Health and Texas Oncology and Christus Health System so she is being covered by two different Hospital Groups working in Tandem.
Needless to say, we have very little time left to do much but see that she is taken care of as well as our Animals. We have trimmed down our Goats, The Coons wiped out most of our large chicken flock, and we gave out two remaining Geese to a Refuge. You guys have no idea how disappointed we both are to not being able to attend after two cancellations. It obviously is not in the cards and we know there is a reason. But she above all is my number priority and has been for 55 years. The extended family has been so supportive and come to help us at every opportunity. With God's Grace and a lot of Tender Loving Care she will be with me for a while longer. She has taken a leave of absence with her Company and has been given 12 weeks to return to work as a Remote Underwriter fot ANBTX in Terrel. They are so supportive of her and are hoping like I am that she willl be back in the groove A.S.A.P..
Two years ago I was asked to put together something for the Reunion. I updated it recently and it will be shown at the REUNION. It was a Labor of Love but it was an Honor to be asked to do it. Hopefully you will enjoy it and it will help keep that Cougar Nostalgia and Legacy going. Pam and I both hope you have a well attended REUNION and it re-unites Old Friendships. Again, Our apologies for not making this one but we are sure you will all understand. May the Lord Bless All of You on your Journey to the Reunions in Abilene and from Cities and Towns you call home. I promise You All We will be there with you in Spirit!!!
