I know we're getting to that age that we can and should expect to hear of classmates passing on. I get that. But this one hurts. Scott Slaughter was such an exceptional guy and kind, good person. He had a difficult life. Wasn't much for stying in touch, but he has a special quality that was impossible to describe or explain. Scott will be missed.

Ditto Randy. Scott was a special guy, always considerate of others' needs. An SS namesake I never forgot. Hope to see you all this fall after 45 long long years.

I've not really kept up with anyone but I hate to hear about Scott.  My association with him prompted me to agree to name my son Scott. I think of him every time I say my boys name. To bad I never told Slaughter that.  He and Steve Fielder were both good guys.

I have so many fond memories of the days spent with Scott and the Slaughter family.

Mike and I are both saddened to hear about Scott's passing.  We both remember him when we were classmates.

I had not talked to Slaughter in a long time, but like Clark I have such wonderful memories of Scott and his parents Jeri & John.  They lived a block over and I spent a lot of really good times there!

I don't know how I missed this, but did not hear that Scott had passed away. He was always so nice, easy going, and so handsome. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a very sweet guy.
