Earle was a gentle, kind, wonderful guy, cherished by all who knew him well. He passed some years ago, after being plagued by health issues. He was in a coma for quite a while and had had to re-learn how to play guitar in order to appear in the 2010 Garageband Woodstock. There was only one Earle Meadows, and he is sorely missed.
