Our event location, The National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature (NCCIL) is a treat in itself!  The NCCIL exhibits, tours, collects, preserves and promotes original art from the finest children's literature.  Their vision is to inspire and empower children to read and be creative.  Through their programming and outreach, the NCCIL actively promotes children's literacy, both art and reading, in the Abilene community and beyond.  It is a non-profit organization, www.nccil.org.

Parking for the NCCIL:  A few places on Cedar Street, a parking lot west of the NCCIL, and the Abilene Public Library lot to the north of the NCCIL.  Also, First Baptist Church has a large parking lot about a block away (west) between N. 1st and N. 2nd Streets.
